Yujiro fought against American and Vietcong forces in the Vietnam War starting at age fifteen. He is known as a sadistic monster who cannot go a day without hurting someone, yet he has earned such fear and respect from the U.S. government and military that they maintain a policy of appeasement toward him. When he flexes his back muscles, they form a demon or ogre's face, an image said to appear when he started fighting for pleasure rather than survival.

In Their Own Story

Yujiro gouged Doppo Orochi's right eye out and killed him by stopping his heart in the underground arena before Doppo was revived. He later fought Baki Hanma, a gruesome conflict that left Baki broken but earned Yujiro's praise for Baki's unique fighting spirit. Following this fight, which went viral, Yujiro gained unwanted fans, including young children asking for his autograph. In the final conflict, he ate dinner prepared by Baki, refused to explain why he killed Baki's mother to a 'resentful brat,' and engaged in a final battle that ended in a tie where both recognized each other's greatness.
